Significance: It is of great significance to the study of towns and social development in the period of the Longshan Culture.
Introduction
Covering an area of 10,000 square meters, Wangchenggang Site contains cultural relics of the late Longshan Culture, Peiligang Culture and Erlitou Culture, as well as relics of the Shang and Zhou dynasties. During the excavations, archaeologists discovered two castles of the late Longshan Culture, some storage pits and ash pits. Large quantities of production tools like copper and stonewares, and daily facilities like pottery were unearthed. Wangchenggang Site is of great significance to the study of towns and social development in the period of the Longshan Culture.
